I’m not allowed to sleep tonight and this is way past my bedtime already. I’ve normally napped mid afternoon and my eyes are dropping.
I have tea, alarms set to go every hour but what do you do to keep awake. Reading and watching films makes me even more sleepy.

"Try coffee, Diet Coke or Red Bull, Lex. Not all three together though, you'd be awake for days!"
I am making regular cups of tea. Which is in turn making me get up to go to the toilet and I’m going to the upstairs one just for the effort
You know I’ve never had an energy drink, maybe now was the time to change that |

It may well be the time to change that I'll open a can of Red Bull and you can have a sip if you like |

I’m usually never someone who has a problem sleeping. I spend way too much of my life asleep these days
I’m having some tests tomorrow and so I’m not allowed to sleep tonight, hopefully I’ll have better results if I manage it. |

I work permenant nights, I used to fall asleep. It's a case of just getting used to it. So much so that I just had 7 weeks off work as I am term time only and I didn't sleep one night in the holidays! I am now a permenant night owl and this is my day time |

Well I am managing to deprive myself tonight. I’m quite impressed at how well I’m managing.
My startle response is on high alert mind. Every time my alarm goes I nearly shit a brick |

I guess you just turn your life around Lucy in time. It becomes a whole different world. It’s kinda fascinating though this other life. |

Did you manage to stay awake?"
Hi Mavis, I did thanks, but now I’m really flagging. It’s catching up something chronic |
