I did this once. A few years back I was an admin of an ex-pat forum and was doing some work behind the scenes in the control panel. I was updating the swear filter and decided to replace the word "football" with "nitting".
It was hilarious reading the sports section of the forum. Conversations went along the lines of:
"Did you watch the knitting last night?"
"Why does my post say "knitting" when I typed "knitting?"
"Your post obviously says "knitting" because you must have typed "knitting".
It took 3 or 4 days for one of the other admin to suss out what had happened, and I got the blame right away! They must have known about my hatred of football haha |
