I don't find it hard to meet and get along with people on a superficial level, but as I get older I don't have the time, energy or wherewithal to develop new "meaningful" friendships. I don't have time to see family and close friends as it is unfortunately. |

I've found it easier as I've got older
When I was young, as in teenage/early 20s I still didn't know or understand myself
I had friends but I always felt I was fitting in, going along with them.
My late 20s/30s I was focused on career, then raising my family.
The people I associated with were from that social circle. They weren't friends.
My 40s.
I've found me. I don't fit in, I don't even try & don't care if people don't like me.
I've made friends so much more easily & the ones I have now, I know are true friends, who love me for being me |

I think people come in and out of your life and some stay and others flitter away, I have had some great friends over the years but basically I am a solitary creature and becoming more so the older I get |
