Stanley Kubrick and Dalton Trumbo's Spartacus.

Hilarious, _omantic, thoughtful, terrifying, elating, sorrowful.

The bit where Verinia (a newly free ed slave) tells Spartacus to "forbid me to leave you" might be the sexiest thing I've ever seen too.

Thanks for letting me know. I was hoping someone would!

Yeah Peter Ustinov is hilarious in it. All the acting is great. Even Olivier manages to reign it in a bit.

'Buried'

I know that a lot of ppl found that it was shit but honestly I was sticked in my seat the whole movie. I was literally watching a guy in a box during 1 hour and a half and I cried, laughed, was tense...

So to me the guy who managed to do that by making me watch a guy in a box during 1 hour and a half is a genius.

Buried is a masterpiece in his own right.

Also what about “Salem’s lot” also filmed on TV

I also thought it was brilliant, I was tense throughout. Such a simple premise, but realistic enough to be terrifying. Ryan turned a great performance.

Aliens and Alien aren't really the same kind of film even though they cover the same subject.

Alien and Alien 3 are more Horror/Thriller whilst Aliens is more SciFi/Action.

For me Alien wins. Only film that I've had to turn off because I was scared. In my defence I was 14. I made it to the bit where the cat started hissing and thought "Awww hell no".

"The Great Escape

Mine too love most films with Steve McQueen in, Towering inferno was another favourite also a fan of the old school war films where eagles dare, guns of navarone, force 10 from navarone, Von Ryan’s express, escape to victory and the eagle has landed.

Somebody up there who likes me but technically Steve was uncredited for that film, there was a great rivalry between them hence why on the towering inferno credits their names are side by side to appease both their egos. I read a biography on Steve McQueen a few years back absolutely fascinating and well worth the read.

"'Buried'

I know that a lot of ppl found that it was shit but honestly I was sticked in my seat the whole movie. I was literally watching a guy in a box during 1 hour and a half and I cried, laughed, was tense...

So to me the guy who managed to do that by making me watch a guy in a box during 1 hour and a half is a genius.

Buried is a masterpiece in his own right. "

I cried when I watched it
