"I stopped smoking and started vaping and now told it’s not safe either.
So what do vapers do next?
Your experiences and thoughts?"
I was going to get a vape..I don't really want to give up but for the sake of my old chest and all I probably should. Never really fancied vaping and now I'm glad I never |

I stopped cold turkey after 5 days in hospital in 2008. I decided there and then I would never smoke again - and haven’t. A decision I’m actually proud of |

'Tonight Matthew I'm going to be Burt Bacharach'
I will get my chance! |

I'd be proud to or I will be proud once I've given up |

Get some professional support? Other transitional tools, patches etc? Assess the risks of each and ensure you only use the quitting aid for a short period. It doesn't have to be quitting one long term habit, to replace it with a new one for the rest of your life. |

According to the mayor of london breathing the fumes of london for 10 years is as damaging as smoking 20 a day for 25 years!
So basically you are screwed anyway |

One of the keys for me was not framing it as giving up but rather as stopping completely. After the first couple of weeks I deliberately tested that resolve by going to the pub with my mates who still smoked and standing outside in the smokers’ areas while they had a fag. I was amazed that I didn’t waver once.
It simply felt like I’d made an irrevocable decision. |

I used a vape for a few months - slowly reducing the nicotine level.
Then lost the vape on Boxing day and it felt right to give up.
It was difficult- but so worth it! |

There and to the left a bit |
Last time I talked about it with my GP he encouraged me to carry on vaping as there has been no evidence to suggest it is harmful - especially not by comparison to cigarettes (which I've now been off for three and a half years thanks to vaping)
Due to see him again in a couple of weeks so will check with him again then. |

All I will say it is better than cigarettes as no tobacco. But now idea what nicotine does to you on its own and well if you choose to vape a product that isn’t from a tobacco company you have absolutely no idea what’s in it
Good luck !! |

The only way you could die from nicotine is by injecting a large amount direct into your blood.
It's no coincidence it sounds like Caffeine, they are similar.
I'm going to carry on vaping, respectfully. I don't blow clouds when near people. |

That’s so good. We quit in 2008. Went through some stuff and strangely both began again separately the same week just over a year ago Would like to quit again, but not there yet. |

I'm going to carry in vaping. I used to enjoy smoking. I don't drink, do drugs except for the occasional herbal. Vaping is alot better for you and you don't stink so all good |
