I use anthisan for bites.

To repel them, I believe it’s something citrusy..? Not 100% though

Gin with a slice if lemon, may not stop the bites, but you won't care so much

Haha I wish I tasted like bitterness and regret. I think I consume far too much sugar which makes me tasty

If you take vitamin B every day they no longer bite you, it does something to your blood that repels mosquitoes, basically you become less tasty It works for me and I was constantly being bitten alive anytime I went on holiday.

I just put on some war paint and run around squashing them before they get the chance to attack. Although one did ninja me and has bitten me on my back, damn that ninja mosquito.

And on a more serious note there is some spray from Avon called SSS Dry Oil that is supposedly good. I used it once then lost it so I can't really comment on its effectiveness.

Mr.

Lavender oil on the bites helps to stop the itching. Avon Skin So Soft sometimes works to repel them.

If it gets to the point where there's a big black cloud of midges coming at you, just run.
