There and to the left a bit |
I love accents - find them fascinating especially when you add in the different linguistics of them and local phrases and sayings etc
The only accent I truly hate is my own, which I know everyone says when they hear their recorded voice, but mine sounds monotone and boring and not at all like I think I sound in my head. |

"American" .
There are so many different kinds of regional accents so what specific ones? I'm friends with a guy in New Orleans and his voice is made for voiceovers, so deep and sexy. If I had a voice like his I wouldn't need to be on here. |

Thanks for that. As an American it is so hard to not be self conscious of my accent in this country as generally American accents are considered synonymous with stupidity. There are many accents from such a big country, and it does make a difference. |

There’s a lot of different places that have that twang, or drawl. It may be southern US accents in general that grate on you. Some are very strong. Some places of Texas sound southern and some don’t. There are so many accents there. I don’t have a drawl lol |

"I love most accents except South African it’s got to be the worst by far. "
Clive James once described sitting between two South Africans in conversation as 'being hit over the head with a rolled up newspaper'. |

I seem to be in the minority here, I genuinely like all accents!
The South African accent used to give me the Heebie Jeebies because of the Apartheid connection, then I met a gorgeous SA woman who blew that (and me!) out of the water
Ah, memories |

I like all accents as long as I can understand what they are saying. I remember being in a cab once in Dublin and the cabby was chatting to me and I still to this day don't know what he said . I just kept nodding and smiling |

Generally, most accents are agreeable if spoken in a lovely voice. The timbre is everything. |
