"Peanut butter
Isn't that quite high in sugar?
Some are sugar free.
Apple will depend on your definition of low carb. "
I truly don't know. The consultant I saw today told me to eat all vegetables that grow above ground and avoid those that grow below ground (apart from carrots and onions) and seeds, peas and beans. |

Wholesome salads really do come into their own here, and the good news is you can chuck as much meat and dressing when analysed into the mix as you like!
Just steer clear of pasta and croutons and such like to keep the carbs down low!

"Sunflower seeds
This is where I become confused. The consultant I saw today told me not to eat seeds.
Did they offer you literature or a website? "
No. I just need to make low level adjustments to avoid future problems. |

I'm asking for ideas for low carb snacks please.
Thank you
Boiled egg. Nice and filling for its size. "
Yes I've read about that. It's not quite the same as a pastry with your coffee is it |

I think I'm just doing my usual thing of going in all guns blazing when I don't need to. I just need to replace my morning slice of cake with a low carb alternative I think. I've got the replacement for pasta, rice etc covered |

I’ve been on a low carb program to reverse T2 diabetes, my snacks have mainly been veg, celery sticks, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers etc
If you add protein itvhelps to burn the visceral fat that the body has stored.

I'm not pre diabetic but she advised me to watch my diet now to avoid it. I don't need to go full on very low carb but just to cut down on them. |

The Diabetes nurse at my GP Surgery recommended the Mosley Diet in January. I've never been so bored in my life with that!
I don't eat any veg at all. I will make up salads, but I'm allergic to spices, garlic, peppers and so on, so any of those are out.
Then, in late Feb, I'd a medical issue & my GP recommended ditching any diet, resorting to what I was comfortable with food wise, to aid my recovery. But I did cut out soft drinks, white bread, sweets (menu varieties) and drank far more water.
Plus, I bought a George Foreman Grill so I could cut down on fat in some foods.
By start of July, I'd lost 5.5kg; GP's nurse was happy, so am I and I continue with my regime! |

I buy packs of babybels to snack on at work
Also the protein (usually corn and lentil) corn cakes (like the snacks jack's but plain and with corn... spread with butter
Olives
I do cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls
Also get a fairy cake tin, grated cheese loosely, bake for 5-8 mins, allow to cool, remove from tin and hey presto...low carb crisps!!!!
Boiled eggs and salad cream
Grill or fry bacon till crispy....snack on when it's cold (streaky is best)
Pepperami'...mindful of processed meats
Also Google bullet coffee...add a dollop of unsalted butter to black coffee instead of milk...meant to fill you up for longer |

"Hello everyone

Any low carb food but if you need to snack you need to look at what your low carb diet consists of. Usually snacking isn’t necessary. I’m 11 years down the line with this so PM if you’d like to. |

Any wheat/corn snack is not low carb and should be avoided. Read Wheat Belly.
It’s bullet proof coffee. |

Corn cakes are 3.5g per cake. The OP asked for low carb not no carb. And for me, it fills me up.
Yes, Wheat ones would be higher I guess.
My bad...i meant to write bullet proof...fast fingers and a long message |

Grains don’t belong on a low carb diet at all. 3g of corn carbs are converted directly into sugar, 3g of broccoli or bacon carbs (a huge volume of food) are not. |

Yes, it has to grow above ground but no peas, beans or sweet corn.
Runner beans are ok if you remove the seeds inside but who has time for that!? |
