I think it's self explanatory. THe vast majority of knife crime is gang related, gangs primarily include many from disadvantaged backgrounds whichave obviously include ethnic minorities.

You have started a thread with some very provocative statements. Recently you were posting about sending back immigrants and stating that you didn't care if they died which perhaps unfairly I took as anti-immigrant which brings us back to your provocative post about war zones and am issue that primarily effects ethnic minorities.

Hope that clears it up. And of course an apology if ice completely got it wrong

I feel as safe today in London as I did when I moved there 12 years ago and as safe as I did walking around supposed no go zones when I lived in Brum.

Bike Manky said this thread was about immigrants.

It's about stabbings

I didn't. I suggested that your deliberate provocative comparisons to a war zone and declaring that london wasn't safe to visit possibly had an agenda based on previous comments like. "

No disrespect to those that were stabbed / died last night, we are a city of near on 10 million people plus visitors, what are the stats of those that died from being hit by a car in the same day ?

We don’t know because they don’t report it.

I’m sorry but you just had to the scare mongering that is associated with this element of crime, it’s the press’ new chalice and unfortunately some people believe everything they read

An example to vet the Christmas week the press used the term “women be aware possible stalker female killer in the area” because three women were found dead in their homes within the same week within a square mile. It turned out all three were separate instances, not linked at all, 2 killed by those known to them but no the press had 4+1 together and make 10

Don’t believe everything you read and wait for all the facts before passing absurd comments

Things can happen anywhere but realistically, it doesn’t happen in many places that are not frequented by gangs. Mentally unstable people can pop up anywhere but gangs stay in there own neighbourhoods usually.

I've never been afraid to walk the streets of London day or night and I'm there regularly there with work, sometimes for weeks on end?

Not that I completely like going there, but that's because it's a rammed place and if site is 5 miles from the hotel I'm in, expect 3 hours commute there and back, rather than an average of 45 minutes combined tops everywhere else...

There and to the left a bit

OP not sure what your agenda here is - a week or so ago you were suggesting that migrants in the channel should be allowed to drown.

Now you're suggesting that our capital city is a war zone comparable to Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo but appear unable to back that up with any kind of verifiable information.

I can only conclude that you start these "hand grenade" threads to either seek some form of attention or to just be deliberately provocative.

With the greatest of respect perhaps you need to step away from the keyboard and think before you post whether what you are saying has any relevance or actual bearing on reality, and whether you ought to actually be saying some of the things you say at all.

Yes knife crime exists, and should rightly be condemned whenever it happens, but to suggest that London is unsafe or is a war zone is the kind of Fake News that Trump peddles and is laughable at best.
