There are numerous threads on it daily.
Personally I think it's partly a product of some men being so desperate to blow their beans they'll forego the brains in their heads and engage the brains in their pants instead, so logic goes out the window and others have cottoned on to the fact that can exploit this urge and in some cases make a few quid (go over to kik, send me taxi fare and I'll come - well that taxi fare is going right in Stormin Normans bank)
Others take the piss, and see how far they can push it before being caught, maybe a game of "hook-a-muppet"
Some are genuine profiles that people like to tar as fake because they won't meet that person specifically so it's easier to cry fake/timewaster than admit they aren't what someone else is looking for.

It don’t make sense really as there’s plenty of men on here looking for men so it’s seems like a real waste of time pretending to be something they not.. it would make more sense if they had any, to just message people that are actually looking for someone likeminded.. |

What I'm saying is some of them don't want to meet. They pretend to be women to make a few quid from the desperate. They don't actually meet, just take the money sent for taxi fares etc.

The online equivalent of Bart Simpson dialling a random number and playing a prank.
It doesn't make it right but it does happen.
I've played hook-a-muppet with those who've sent obvious cut n paste bullshit messages, with zero respect shown and a sense of entitlement or aggression. I'm like "oh bitch, you wanna play  it's on like donkey motherfucking kong"
