When I flew over from NZ I brought masses of chocolates over. It is cold in the hold, so you only need to be careful with how they are packed so they don't get squashed or damaged.

I put biscuits (with chocs) and crisps in my checked in luggage.

Chocolate in cabin luggage.

So far it's ok.

The hold will generally be cold unless transporting animals.

Within Europe you should be free of restrictions (at least for now, while we are still within the EU), out with there are restrictions, especially to Australia/new Zealand but also the USA

Been fine except on very hot days when it started to melt but that was likely down to delays once the aircraft had landed and luggage was taken inside airport.
