Jaffa cakes are not biscuits they're cakes and have been proven so in court.

my favourite biscuits are chocolate caramel digestives chemicals included.

They all contain additives such as ammonia , salt, and e numbers but some have added extras such as the low fat ones.

In order to take something out, they have to replace it.

And it all adds to the shelf life of the biccy.

Like bread...if you baked your own you would not be able to freeze it.

Its only the added extras that allow us to do so.

jaffa cakes are found in the biscuit department not the cakes and why would someone want to go to court to prove they are cakes .

Chocolate biscuits are taxed as luxury goods, cakes are not, so its a tax reason Jaffa's are cakes ( which they are) and the easy way to tell is biscuits go soft after they are past their best, cakes go hard .

Biscuits ( baked twice )

Hth

When I was a kid my mother used to buy the broken biscuits and we ate them and loved them!!!

Would NEVER but them now cos when I was a teenager my mother went to work for the local biscuit factory and was put on the broken biscuit line one day and told me they were only running that line once a week cos otherwise there werent enough broken ones, so they sat for up to a week in a huge tub getting all soggy and icky!!!!

Hubby worked for the same factory and the workers could buy bags of biscuits for 20p a bag, we ended up with loads cos he has such a sweet tooth!!

I love shortbread but the best has to be M & S cos they have their own recipe and it has to be followed, no one else is allowed to use it but omg it melts in your mouth!!

When stale, a biscuit goes soft and a cake goes hard

M and S

are the only company to stipulate marked differences in anything made.

They get the best of everything .

To the thickness of the chocolate to the biscuit colour etc.

The best wrapping and boxing.

Every other biscuit is what is called generic and are all the same.

The slightly burnt or less choc covering etc ...go to the cheapest stores such as aldi, lidl , netto or the value range of goods.

So....

Yes it pays to shop at m and s

and nope..dont work for them. lmao

wagon wheels are exactly the same size.......our childhood memories of this HUGE biscuit stems from the fact that our hands were so much smaller....thus most folk think the biscuit has shrunk......its just our hands that have grown
