Sorry in advance for yet another man vs woman thread but do you think men tend to have more than women?
I've noticed most of the threads related to specific things ie foot worship, lactation, hoover humping are started by men. In fact I don't recall any started by women.
Why do you think that is? Are men more sexually aroused by physical things? Most fetishes tend to focus on acts or objects.
Or maybe women just aren't as vocal for fear of being judged? |

I have a few fetishes but nothing wild. I think maybe women might be a little less open about them for whatever reason. I speak from limited experience though lol |

Some of them yeah, but not all. They're pretty varied though and range from having hands tight on my throat during sex, right up to some pretty dark stuff |

"I would argue the opposite, from another site it seems to me that women have more fetishes and kinks than men."
Maybe women are most discreet and like to hide in the safety of that site?
Oh! Maybe porn has led men to believe some things are more mainstream and commonly accepted than they are hence talking about them on here? |

I don't think porn is always to blame for one thing or another, after all it is produced to recreate our fantasies. |

I think it works both ways, porn influences some people's sexual behaviour in that things like BDSM, facials, squirting etc are becoming "normalised" by porn. The actors on screen make out like they're really into things they're not and some people assume it's the done thing.
From that porn has to push further, if something is normalised then it's not exciting anymore so porn becomes more extreme to compensate and the cycle continues. |

"I think it's more woman are only vocal about fetishes to select people rather than broadcast to an audience"
I agree.
I think men are more open and will post threads to talk about it so they can have a wank about it. |

The two times I've mentioned a particular fetish the messages after have been a bit . Yes, I'm interested in something but there's this sort of assumption that because you talk about it you want to do it and talk in any great length with every Tom, Dick and Harry.
I think men it's just more acceptable to talk about them. I don't know why that is, it's far too nuanced to be simplified easily. |

I would say you are probably correct with your assumption regarding Porn making certain things appear to them at least mainstream. It is this skewed view which ultimately leads to the incorrect conclusion that all women are available to them to do what they please. Hence the abuse some women and yes some men report on here when they say no. |

I've watched porn before I first had sex, I've seen all sorts from 'vanilla' to Gonzo. That said I still like and enjoy missionary, even though it's probably the most common way to have sex .
I agree that porn possibly influences other people on what can be expected from sex however I don't think it's a bad thing. It's a way of exploring of what we enjoy and looking for people with similar interests. |

I just dont feel the need to broadcast my fetishes on a thread or on my profile. When I find someone to get up close and dirty with then that's a different story but until then my lips are sealed. I want someone to want me because of me not just for some quick bit of whatever. |

I feel it's something for me and who ever im with If theres something I like or would like to try I'll approach the subject with said person and not all over the forums . And only if I've a kind of bond or friendship with someone and the conversation goes that way... and I'd like to feel if I'm with someone then they could be that open with me too. |

I would like to have a fetish, something that really gets my blood pumping and heart racing, something that makes my cunt tingle at the thought.
Still searching.
Am I boring?

Fetishes or Kinks,, for me, when married it was 1, watching my women just in jeans wearing no top or bra, and 2, watching other guys watch her when we went out ‘exhibiting’ her. 3, going down on a woman after I’ve cum inside her. 4, role plays,, All a bit vanilla compared to many , but enjoyable . |

I think men (especially on here) are more likely to be more vocal and more likely to advertise what they are after. Also the sheer volume of guys vs ladies on here means that there will be more threads started by men, perhaps as a way to stand out from the crowd?
Additionally I think some women are put off from starting this type of thread due to the resultant spike in messages and also because women (typically) need a deeper attraction to their sexual partner before indulging in a fetish than guys tend to. They would rather find a suitable partner first then explore the fetish, some guys see the fetish first and their (prospective) sexual partner after. |

I think men are more vocal with fetishes they have; it gets assumed that they have them anyway, where as women worry about being judged for them more?
Women also tend to develop them in instances where everything about the atmosphere, the person involved, etc is right for them to do so; men don't necessarily need this?

I could be wrong but I feel men in general are visual minded and I’d agree with you, except for the Hoover Humping Guy a few weeks ago .. jury’s out on that |

I think it's because women have better things to do with vacuum cleaners, namely cleaning the house.
This is a joke. Please don't kill me. |
