Only just recently got into running, didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I do!

The mind clears from everything and feel exhilarated.

Once I've finished the run it's the feeling of accomplishment aswell.

Running is my other addiction. It’s given me so much pleasure and so much pain in equal measures. It’s a great stress reliever.

Currently injured though so may be a little sensitive at the mo

Me too, hated running at the time, in fact had hated it all my life, only started because my health was at a make or break crossroads, and I was desperate to sort myself out.

Who'd have thought that within 10 years, not only would I love it, but I'd have 20+ ultra marathon finishes under my belt.......

So beware, once you start, you might just get the bug!

yep, had long periods off for injuries/depression/laziness, but mostly committed for 12 years now. Not bothered about races [though I've done a few - such as the Paras10 - 10 cross-country miles up&down Catterick barracks with a 35lb backpack on, a qualifying race to get into the Parachute Regiment], it's just part of my lifestyle.

Easier to just do it than not to because I get toxic mentally without it!

I adore running or I did used to run 6-8 miles a day was a great way to loose weight I lost 4 st due to that and diet, but sadly due to my running injury which damaged my knee severely needing an operation to correct it I can no longer run and been advised not to try.

It was so freeing and was my happy place. I still find tough after 14 months that I won’t run again

I go gym more but it’s not same as I longingly look at the running machines lol

But with gym, yoga and other stuff it’s ok just shame when loose out on something liked.

Plus I started running hard after I was assaulted so I seen it as a way to escape that so that’s tough cos I ran to get away from the risk of being attacked again

Long time runner here

Nowadays I do more trail running than road though.

Generally mix it up between 6 mile and half marathon distances, though I do park run most weekends for a bit of speed work

It's a hard habit to break

Despite my comment last week about not enjoying my running, well I've just completed a half marathon scenario at race pace with a pal which was a phenomenal experience. Any runners im South London, please do get in touch.

I particularly enjoy hitting pubs and club environments post run as I take my dopamine rush in them with me. An interesting experience!
