Bristol

Homemade pea & ham soup. Bloody lovely.

Only tried it as I had some ham stock after boiling a ham hock for sandwich meat and I refuse to throw any foodstuff out lol.

Great wee recipie for no cook soup quick and easy for those with very little time

CREAM OF SWEETCORN SOUP

***********************

1 pint of chicken stock(stock cubesr ok)

1 tin of sweetcorn

1 red chilli(deseeded)

splash or single cream

mix all the ingrediants (except for the cream)in a bowl and blend with a hand mixer

add a splash of single cream

and you have a lovely bowl or spicy cream of sweetcorn ...omit the chilli if you dont like it spicy.

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

A woman I knew always had a pan of home made soup on the cooker! One of her ingredients was ..... bones she`d "rescued" from the waste food her husband used to collect to feed his pigs! The hotels he used to clear the waste food from always used to bag the bones seperately for him to clear! Great soup that you could virtually stand a spoon up in!

The WI have a great soup cook book with simple but tasty recipes. My favourite is courgette and feta cheese with pear and stilton in second place x

If it is out of a tin, then Campbell's/Bachelor's Cream of Chicken.

If it is out of a bottle, then Lobster Bisque (made in France).

If it is home-made, then Thai-inspired spicy parsnip.
