Following on from a posting just made on another thread, I've officiated at many weddings over the years in a Hotel management career.
There have been wonderful Receptions, but equally, there have been those that families reckon could have been smoother or some aspects shouldn't have happened!
Like the Groom in his speech who said, "Dad and I were talking last night about Mothers In Law (at this point, I looked along the Top Table, and the Groom's Father had his head in his hands and looked like he wanted to run!). The Groom continued, "I thought that (looking towards the Bride's Mum) you may be an ugly cow, but really, now I know you, you ain't such a bad bint after all!"
