I bought new bedding today, which is currently in the dryer. I looooove the feeling of clean sheets and new ones are even better!

What little things brings you joy? (Don't say your penis. Joke is too obvious )

I came back today to a parcel and in it a new bra. Which is a back size smaller! And fits beautifully. So for me it would be the range of bras available to me now. Also I've lit a Dipytique candle and it smells like the gods crafted it.

The little things indeed!

In keeping with your original post, the hotel I'm in for this Rotterdam job seems to have everything scaled UP (stretching I can just reach the lintel of the bathroom doorway for example and I'm 6'1", the towel rack is on a shelf about 7 foot high too, and these are just two examples) and along with this is the fact I have a spare FOOT of bed beyond the end of my feet when I'm flat out in it? I found this amazing!! In a practical level, it means that I don't have the weight of hanging duvet on my tootsies when I'm in it which just feels much less restricting, but it also makes me feel about 13 again (and therefore much free from responsibilities and calm as I'm about to drift off) with that sensation which is awesome!

Ok, P's forehead kisses might just trump that...by a cricket score to be honest

Along with a time recently (think the occasion was when I'd taken my 7 year old daughter along to a big family meal out; my parents, my siblings and their partners and kids though not certain and that bit isn't too important to the moment) I was driving us home and as I'd had my choice of Stone Roses, Gerry Cinnamon et al on the stereo on the way there, she got to pick for the way back, fair's fair!

She chose Ramz, FUCKING DRAKE, and (a little better at least) a few songs from Grease that she was doing in her upcoming dance performance. Then she hid the phone screen from me whilst she picked the next tune and out of nowhere on came Stressed Out by 21 Pilots! She looked at me grinning, I looked at her with an enthusiastic smile and she just said "Oh yeah, baby."

Ultimate Daddy-daughter bond right there!

New fresh bedding is always a joy to climb into, but the other little thing that helps my happiness is (dare I say it, for a bloke.....) a new scented Woodwick candle - just love that little crackle before I get off to sleep.

Ahhhhh, the small joys!
