WORKSOP

I'm with you.

Day off today, and wide awake already.

I will be knackered again later

Nope. Didn't get a wink of sleep last night. Suffered insomnia for years. Wish I could break the cycle

West Wales

I have random insomnia, probably like a lot of people. Sometimes I go weeks with no problem sleeping 8hrs, then others struggle getting 3! 5hrs last night.

I prioritise sleep and have fairly much mastered it but have been a lifelong insomniac ... recognise how bad not sleeping is for my health and fitness

It does get worse with age

I never lay in now and rarely sleep longer than 6hrs - no wonder old people are grumpy

Mines got better since I quit the ratrace, The time I have to wake up is no longer controlled by a commute etc & I don't make appointments for work before 1030am. Still working past 7-8pm most days though.

I can't actually remember the last time we used an alarm clock

Waking up to an alarm is just rude!

Good for you for giving up the rat race it must feel amazing

I dont get up to an alarm either and choose to start later and finish later.

I'm a restless sleeper so I'm up numerous times in the night and I generally only get around 6 in too

I've been awake all night, will get about 3 hours sleep then wake up and then crash early tonight. This is how I live, I survive. Life of a nocturnal insomniac!

I used to have sleep problems. I stopped looking at my mobile when on bed after the lights are switched off. I read an article about how seeing mobile in darkness affects sleep and makes you wake up too soon. Have been sleeping well since then.

Hillside desolate

I'm the same I seem to get 5-6 hours which isn't enough and then I'm knackered all day. If I'm off work I'll have a nap but I don't think that helps.

I wake earlier I summer months probably a combination of light mornings and being too warm but still get at least 6 hours.

Winter I sleep between 7-8 hours.
