But back in the real world, what do you think a realistic salary would be for a newly qualified domestic gas engineer, who is fresh out of training and only just joined the gas safe register ???

17k or 18k?

After a mandatory probation period or until they can work without supervision I would think there would be a pay review.

It depends on where you live I suppose. £18k will barely put a roof over your head in London
