Is Benidorm really that bad ?

What places don't deserve the reputation they may have?

I had to go on a hen do in Santa Ponsa, which wasn't too bad, but had a night out in Magaluf

! Omg it was dire, and I worked in Faliraki in it's heyday!

We went to Wales this Easter and thought to visit Rhyl, thinking we could spend a few lovely days there by the seaside. Gosh, after 5 minutes we run for the hills and ended up at lake Bala. Best decision ever!!!

These holiday spots are actually OK. Just certain streets to be avoided at night time if looking for a quiet holiday. Benidorm for example has an area rich is pinxtos and the old town is pleasant in evening and night. The strip, a good mile away, is carnage though. Get involved however if your plan is messy.
