Why stop there why not gut them with a rusty carving knife then send their inners to relatives via DHL. |

"This is why I only go into a crowd with a machete. Think Michael Douglas going throughthe jungle in Romancing the Stone. "
Alternatively, stick with the Michael Douglas theme and go all D-FENS on them. Baseball bats, Uzi, m-16. The works |

"Walk past them.
Easy.
If only it was that simple. They block the corridor.
Ok, then just as simple is politely asking them to let you by. "
Now that's just stretching the bounds of possibility and reality
Politely ask??? Whatever next?? |

I hate the people who get to the scanners and it's like the first time they have done it.. standing there all confused.
Top tip. Put everything you can in your bag before you get there, including your belt/sunglasses etc.. it's not rocket science. |

No encourage them. Tell them to take their time.
We can avoid them in the supermarkets then as that's when they are at their worst. |

I just love it when someone is half jogging through the airport, that's when I slow down in the narrow parts, leave keys in pocket at the scanner. And watch steam coming from their ears |

Just arrive a bit earlier.. I can never understand the rush. First on or tenth on, the plane leaves at the same time..
Now the very very late ones who hold up the plane and risk losing the take off slot.. that's a little inconsiderate.. maybe these are the ones frustrated by the dawdlers.. |

9 times out of 10 the ones you see speed walking through an airport are the ones who've sat in the bar for pre flight drinks, oblivious to the fact their flight is taking of in 10 minutes until they eventually hear their name being called on the p.a. |

"Walk past them.

Well if they are infront & blocking you, You can't walk infront...Think thats the point hes making lol"
And if you bothered reading on, you ask politely if they'd mind stepping aside to allow you through. It's not rocket science. Who knows, they may even move over, thus allowing you to arrive at your destination a whole minute or two earlier than planned. |

Airports don't help by ALWAYS putting my connecting flight at the farthest possible gate from my arriving one

Have you thought perhaps they have an issue that means they need to step on properly. I have a daughter that needs to time it just right and with her cognitive ability takes a moment to make that step. The amount of people that have tutted or huffed or been out right rude is ridiculous.. worse as she always wears a lanyard with a "Im disabled " sign on it
What really gets my goat is people's lack of patience at things that aren't really an issue and may cost you seconds.

I wonder if some of the people who dislike dawdlers are also the ones who tailgate me in the outside lane of the motorway when I am keeping a safe distance from the vehicle Infront and it should be blatantly obvious that's it's nose to tail for miles and it will get them precisely nowhere in the scheme of things if they get through |

Yes but people shouldn't assume getting on is easy. We take for granted that its just a case of stepping on... but i can assure you for many many people it takes a moment or two... and it doesnt really hurt people.. if a little personal space was given then there would be no bumping into others.
I will go as far as just sitting on a platform for a bit with my daughter or in a coffee shop and wait if our trips coincide with rush hour so as not to bump into rushy people.
But I dont see the point in rushing any where |

Depends, some places for alcohol, some for cigarettes dead cheap, others for more luxury items. I think Heathrow is still one of the better ones that I go to. Hong Hong and Dubai is a fantastic airport but mainly luxury items. |

I go to Hong long lots and get annoyed by the vast amount of slow walkers there. They are definitely not fat. I walk too fast and I’m not slim. I too get irked at airports as I work on the planes but I see all sizes dawdling. There are many other things that bug crew us about travellers than slow walkers. |

"There was a redit post a couple months back,
A mathematics student worked out that if Every obese person globally lost weight then we would not have to increase energy production globally for 50 years, Airtravel would be cheaper & More effiecient.
Not to mention no excuse to walk slow infront of me
Not all slow walkers are fat.
High majority are...Come on...common sense...fatter the person slower their movements
Its not opinion...its fact
How many obese people have won a time trial/Sprint or marathon?
I go to Hong long lots and get annoyed by the vast amount of slow walkers there. They are definitely not fat. I walk too fast and I’m not slim. I too get irked at airports as I work on the planes but I see all sizes dawdling. There are many other things that bug crew us about travellers than slow walkers.
Not to mention the rudeness or most chinese born natives, Spitting, pushing, overt racism... "
Disagree with that, especially in Hong Hong. One of my favourite cities in the world. The people are very welcoming. Been going there regularly for 21 years now and never bored. |

Okay...use asia as an example...not the uk where most people involved where on about.
If we used The usa as an example what could you say?
Asians have their own clothes sizes...a medium there is a small here? "

Get a label printed up with ’Semtex inc’ on it, as you tap them on the shoulder to ask if you can pass, stick it to the back of their jacket.... should make for an interesting holiday story for them |

"Couples wandering along in a world of their own, dragging cases behind them. Oblivious to faster walkers (me) really get on my tits.
Ban them? "
Tell you who to ban. The restaurant zombies in hotels. Mindless morons wandering about with empty plates, against the flow of bodies, fucking clueless to their surroundings. And as for the dickheads who stand like statues in front of the coffee machine, unable to work out how to dispense a cup of hot water !!! God give me strength. |

"So called duty free prices which are often a rip off.
I love the perk of shopping at the airport before I go to work each week. Most things are not a rip off.
Does depend on the airport though. Copenhagen is ridiculously expensive.
I only do long haul work so don’t go there thankfully.
Which is your favourite for bargains then?
Depends, some places for alcohol, some for cigarettes dead cheap, others for more luxury items. I think Heathrow is still one of the better ones that I go to. Hong Hong and Dubai is a fantastic airport but mainly luxury items. "
Haven’t been to Hong Kong for 12 years but I agree about Dubai and Heathrow. Although I really dislike Heathrow if things go wrong, that’s nothing to do with finding bargains though
Munich can be really good at times and Malpensa is often really good value for booze as well as some interesting clothing. |

I walk quite fast but never as fast as Londoners !!
I remember the first time I arrived in London, I have to squeeze myself and walk close to the wall to avoid the bustling 'traffic' of rushing people . Some of them are on stillettos - I am truly amazed and impressed at their athleticism.
I pity them though - always rushing and running and seems to chase something (the tubes I assume).
.
I love people watching in the airports and train stations. |

Many people will adjust their way, if politely asked, possibly given a reason - such as you are at risk of missing someone's death, which is why you have taken an emergency flight to say a final goodbye etc. If enough prompts to change are given, it can influence people to reevaluate their habits. |

Oi! I love my caravan. I’m more relaxed when towing than I am walking through an airport. |

I always arrive at the airport in plenty of time and I do walk slowly around, taking my time, enjoying the shops. Its getting the connecting flight that has me sprinting like Usain Bolt. |

I'll gladly rush off a plane as I'd rather be at the front of that 350+ person 2hr immigration queue than at the back but I mostly fly to America for work where it really is a world of difference.

Nothing against caravans but their cases are like a 5birther being hauled behind |

"I go through Dubai a lot and in the old days you used to have to walk bloody miles in a seemingly unreasonable amount of time.
Better now."
I recently had an connection at Doha. Got off my inbound flight only to find my next departing flight was from the gate next to me. I had a 4 hour stop over.
I think it’s only when you have less than and hour to make you connection do they insist your departure gate is 3 x inter-terminal train connections and a 4 mile walk away! |

I couldn’t agree more. It is probably also worth saying that in a group discussion not to take any comment personally. |
