I think you are a bit out of date...the number of migrants is dropping and with Brexit getting closer, a flood of them is highly unlikely

Migrants are crossing the channel in boats from France to England. Some of them are drowning, some of them are successful. They are not “fleeing” anywhere. They are being exploited by gangs who are organising this. The same gangs used to smuggle drugs across the channel, nowadays it’s people. |

France Germany New Zealand if you are desperate then you will go any where there are mass migration all over the world. Not just here in the UK the advantage we have is the NHS welfare and education which are all failing x watch sky news hotpot on Venezuela and tell me you don't feel sympathy x |

And war and famine will go on and on and on.. we can't take them all.. I really could not give a monkeys about famine in Africa .. but I know that France is a safe country so why come here.. |

As long as people don't drown at sea, there's nothing wrong with rescue boats.
A lot of people risk their lives to attain what me and you take for granted.
I just hope there can be a way whereby people in such circumstances don't have to risk their lives for a better future. |

As long as people don't drown at sea, there's nothing wrong with rescue boats.
A lot of people risk their lives to attain what me and you take for granted.
I just hope there can be a way whereby people in such circumstances don't have to risk their lives for a better future."
The trouble is that the rescue boats will sit a mile off the French coast encouraging people in overcrowded unseaworthy boats to reach them. The more we take, the more will come... |

That'll be the migrants caused by our foreign policy of illegal/unnecessary wars or or exploitation of third world countries, particularly in Africa, so that we can exploit their resources.
So having caused the issue in the first place we should now avert our eyes to the poverty and suffering we have caused?

I have taken on board your comments. The migrants are taking a perilous journey and I do not want anyone to lose their lives on that journey. I think that migration should be managed by governments and not smugglers. I do believe that the boats should be taken back to their departure point to deter others from making that journey. If I were in France I would steal a boat to get across the channel rather than pay smugglers. I don't think rescue boats help. I think they encourage people to take those risks. I also think that France is a safe country so don't buy into the asylum thing. It's a mess compounded by our foreign policy imo. |
