It has lost it's focus
It's now a big party that is commercially backed and sponsored
That's not what Pride is about
I'm all for celebrating diversity, just not in that way
Enjoy your day / weekend guys, I know many thousands do, it just isn't for me  |

Manchester is a big city
It is rightly proud of its gay heritage and its large gay community
Pride attracts thousands - it will be on the local news tonight
If people want to support pride, get yourself to the provincial places like Oldham or Tameside or Crewe or Barnsley, where just a few hundred turn out
That's where standing shoulder to shoulder makes a difference and helps to change minds
But of course, people don't, because the party's shit |
