Love chips and cheese, love chips and gravy but never the twain shall meet.
I have a friend who eats fish and chip with cheese and curry sauce over it though, that's way worse! |

"Now this is the food of champions
Anybody tried?
Are you sure you're a proper northerner?
Scouser are the kings of the North "
No true northerner would deem such a concoction worthy of his/hers tastebuds.
You deserve a hundred lashes just for bringing up such blasphemy |

"It’s basically poutine. Which is indeed an incredible dish.
Just Googled that, never heard of it before "
I make it all the time, but can’t be bothered with curds, so just use grated cheddar.
Also can make Rancher’s Poutine, where you add in some ground beef. That one’s better if you use Red Leicester or a tart coastal cheddar, and make your gravy with an oxo cube for extra saltiness. |

It's just Poutine. Comes from Canada.
It's just mind over matter. I bet you would eat sausage with cheesy mash and gravy or cauliflower cheese on your roast or even dauphinoise potatoes with chicken and gravy ....... no different |

Poutine is beautiful! We have a poutine fast food place in Liverpool and it's to die for!"
I'm coming. What's it called? And how is it different from cheesy chips & gravy?
Anyone saying it's gross, put some cheese in next time you make gravy, or toss the rind off some parmesan in next time you make bolognese or stew. |

"Never tried it. Doesn't sound that appetising, but my motto is I should try most things at least once.
You've never had a mince/steak & cheese pie? It's not that far off."
Trues, but chips are for ketchup and vinegar |

Caribou poutine. Its cheese curds instead of grated cheese though you can ask for mozzarella on it too. This place also uses skin on fries. They have loads of different extra toppings if you want too including steak, bacon, mushrooms, stilton, pulled pork, soured cream, crispy onions, etc. |
