I've just had an email through with my appointment time and date for a mammogram and general boob check up.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 23 and spent 5 and a half years fighting it off.
I was given the all clear (for the third time) just over a year ago.
I am shitting my shorts!
I'm so looking forward to my future right now. I have plans. I font know if i can barely being told it's back 
I'd totally forgotten it was due tbh and it's hit me like a brick wall.
I wouldn't normally ask, but please send good vibes! |

Don’t worry about things you have no control over.
Get the examination done and if there is an issue (I sincerely hope there isn’t) then you can deal with something you know about.

She have some low grade cancer cells in her left breast and lymph nodes. Her oncologist wants to remove around 15 lymph nodes, and crack on with 3 weeks of radiotherapy and tamoxifen. But it should be straight forward to treat and hopefully she'll be back in remission within a few weeks.
We love you Eileen and all wish you well and a speedy recovery

I used to work in a research team which did a project for prevention through screening early.
Just try and relax, try to put it to the back on your mind at work, and outside of work keep yourself busy.
I found a lump on my testes earlier this year and the waiting anxiety for a screening drove me up the wall. I found that out of work, prioritising hone cooking and pushing myself at the gym made me so tired that I was falling asleep early. That was the best thing really, work so hard that you forget about it in the moment, and tire yourself out so you're not up at 12 dwelling on it |
