Hold it across the seam. Spit on it, rub it with the tip of your two middleish fingers and rub one side on your trousers. The groin or arse cheek area work best.

Oh yeah, it helps massively if it's cloudy and for me if there are trees around.

Use a Dukes rather than a Kookaburra white ball.

Dukes are good for swinging, but, lately, seem to be easily destroyed.

A stiff breeze helps, too, I find..
