Not really sure why people do it, suppose it makes people feel better about themselves perhaps if a lot of people fab them ?
We love taking photos for ourselves. But we like to share on Fab as an advertisement to encourage people to meet/contact us.
Don’t really give two hoots though whether they get 1 fab or 1000
Everyone has different goals I suppose |

compliments don't mean a lot here anyway they are perceived as false because of the subject matter of Fab which isn't sex it's swinging |

People always make pit seeking attention is a bad thing, it's eh at we all do here...we want people to notice us and find us appealing, pics and fabs (not dabs) are a part of that |

I take a photo. I see the flaws, I pick it apart, is it good enough to upload. Sod it, upload it anyway.
I get a whole bunch of people (sometimes hundreds or thousands) thinking it's a good picture. It erases some of the judgement I put on myself in choosing pictures. Maybe I'm OK after all.

I hardly ever send a message unprompted, unless I see something I regard as pretty exceptional.
If someone has made some sort of contact with me, then I respond, but I rarely send unsolicited messages.
It would seem that I am one of the rarer males in this respect! |

Don't get me wrong, we take it as a compliment when ours get fabbed as we like to put some thought and effort into ours sometimes, though this is more down to us both developing it as quite the shared passion and hobby more than anything? And as natural exhibitionists we do like to flaunt our naughtiness too!
And we quite like the Fabathon threads, they're a bit of fun plus we get to perv on others in the process, so win win! Directly asking for them isn't for us though, just not our bag. Plus we kind of like the idea of them just being "discovered" if that makes sense?
Some people will ask for Fabs, it's simply the nature of the site. We don't pay that any regard, but if we see pics that we like or think are well taken or thought out then we'll Fab them, it's only natural really.

This site has become a social media platform for a lot of people, hence the "fab my pictures" requests.
People use the site in different ways, despite it being designed as a contact site, you can tell by the way the site owners have only updated the photos side of things, that this is their focus. They make most of their money from people coming on here to wank over photos, collect photos and post photos.
It's not primarily a contact site anymore. |

People ask for Fabs for any number of reasons some just like to get on page 1 of Hot Pics, some see it as some form of validation, some are attention seeking, and others will have their own reasons.
Is it really any different from joining a Fabathon thread?
Either way how others choose to use the site is of no concern to me, so long as it doesn't impact me in any way, which most of the time it doesn't. |

I use it as a contact site, and take pictures to help entice people (to read my sodding profile). What others do? I don't really care. |

The site went up in 2006 I think, it's barely been updated since but people have changed. It's a social media platform now, and only partly a contact site.
A few little tweaks would really make a difference. |

No harm in it, people are free to ignore the requests but if you have to ask for them then they mean nothing. I’d much rather get unsolicited fabs, don’t get that many but they’re always nice when I do. |
