Thoughts please.
Recently redundant,
Im a agency worker who started a long term, possibly permanent role. After he trained me up he he goes missing for the odd hour, claiming stomach trouble. He also does very little, about 1 hour of work out of eight, mainly playing games on his phone etc.
Should i cover myself by telling my agency supervisor in confidence, as i may get the blame if work is held up?
The agency may drop me for alternative work if I'm labelled lazy due to the supervisor. His boss who hired my agency is 100s of miles away so cant see the situation and I wont be believed anyway, being an agency worker

Difficult situation to be in. In my experience regular staff don't care about agency workers or temps. Cover yourself or at least speak to the agency and ask their advice. Is there any way to record the work you've done so it's clear it was you? |

I would give the agency supervisor a heads up as they may drop your agency not just you if it goes pear shaped.
Do you really want this a permeant job if your being used like this. Even as a permeant they are likely to drop you not, more expensive to get rid of, senior staff. |

Sometimes there are suggestion boxes maybe internal mail where you could put a note directly to HR. It'd mean that any eyes would start looking at him rather than the company receiving an email from an agency where you may have been the only recruit or where he may have been involved in the recruitment process. |

Absolutely tell your agency supervisor! His lack of work ethics is not your problem and neither should you potentialy take the fall for someone else. Failing your agency supervisor I would report it to his boss / HR.

Definitely cover yourself if it bothers you.
I've done agency work in the past and I left after 2 weeks because the woman who was supposed to be training me; and was also who I reported to, was a complete bitch. Whenever I had a problem or tried to make friendly conversation she just spoke to me like crap.
I ended up leaving because of her. When I told the office manager I was leaving they had me in the conference room in privately asking was it because of her, as they had other staff leave in the same way and they thought that she was the reason.
I didn't grass, i just said the work wasn't for me. But they kept pushing to find out if it was because of her. I got the impression they knew.
Looking back now I should have said something because others after me would have had the same issues. |

I thought of this too, not fair on subsequent staff.
I'm fed up of him after 1 week.
He's bragging about claiming whiplash from a car accident and said theirs nothing wrong with him |

Pretty much everyone in a car accident when it isn't their fault claims whiplash as it can't be disproven. He knows hell get paid off.
If he'd being a toss pot I'd grass him up just for kicks. |
