Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
No! Not that I have much naughty fun but I hate that work prevents me spending time with the young people during the holidays.
I've had a great day getting exam results and celebrating that and handing over money for them to celebrate with their friends. Yes, I'm not left with the maybe offer of dinner later (which I don't expect to happen) but I'd rather have that time if it comes up than regret missing that moment. They head off into the world without us so quickly.

As a single guy that has been on here on and off for years, this is nothing new and can only be expected. Was actually discussing this with a couple yesterday that i have met often. I fully expect not to be able to meet during summer hols, but i still talk to them and have a good laugh daily. From their point of view though is the amount of blokes that just stop talking to them over the summer hols, deathly silence. Then suddenly a message "hols are finished shortly, when can we next meet"
I fully and completely understand the couples problem with that. If a guy dosn't want to keep in touch just because he knows you can't meet, and then suddenly POPS up when he know's you can meet...................it's time to dump him. |

Someone messaged me the other day saying I was being a selfish cow moaning about the summer hols being hard because of all the people who would love to have children and can't or who don't get to see their children.
I do see their point. Even tho they were a bit brusque. So I'm trying not to do that publically anymore. |

Yeah and to top it off my daughters mums having an op on her back next week on the weekend she's supposed to have her, so might not even get to play out next week either |

Omg loved having the kids around! Giving up "fab fun" for a few weeks is nothing when compared to making wonderful memories with the kids! Lucky fab is just an "extra" addition to an awesome life
They're not around for long and this is my last summer after 27 years of kids but now is my time for adventures! Woohoo to the next phase in my life life ... |
