As we know many people like to think they can’t be defined by the choices given, at the moment we have the three choices, do you feel you don’t match any of them and if you don’t what would you say you were ?

I think that there will never be enough boxes for some people. So many complain about sexuality, body type or want to add more categories like marital status but I think then we lose a bit of humanity, surely getting to know someone and how they think or feel is all part of the experience? The boxes are just a rough guide.

I think the simple ones we have now, straight, bi or open to experimenting cover most bases.

If you don’t fit the basic options, what about putting it in your profile text perhaps?

Good point if there was a 'refine search' option it becomes too much like shopping

I believe a good solution would be to let people add new ones and define themselves as they wish - something like tags. It would preserve human aspect as it would be personal choice. Something like you can find in Fetlife (just in Fetlife many other things suck). I really miss some refining mechanisms - I.e. selecting sm says nothing. There is so many roles within.

Couldn’t agree more. So people should have ability to define and redefine themselves.

Maybe there should be no choices at all then and just leave for people to message each other and find out.

Yes there should be a few more options at least. Why put tv and ts together also?

Some categories are important for search engines. But I vote for open ones.

Exactly! Tv and ts shouldn’t be together!

I am not a number

I am not a category

I'm just human (well almost). Like everyone else on here...

Defining anyone by anothers interpretation of which box they think another belongs in, kind of turns us ever more into just commodities, doesnt it?
