One of the greatest NFL Running Backs of all time.
Can you look past you know what, and remember his successes in American Football, acting e.c.t?
Or are these sportsmen defined by crimes they committed (or legally didn't for O.J)? Other examples; rapist English Footballers and so on. |

Personally no. But you have mentioned boxing and football, and for many, they wouldn’t give a flying fuck who had done what when it ultimately came down to a team or individual they supported. Sport, and being an all time great in that sport, often trumps any crime they committed or were suspected of committing in many people’s eyes. Ched Evans will get cheers when he scores and boos and abuse from the the opposition. Just human nature.
Only found out recently that Dirty Den from East Enders was a convicted murderer in real life. BBC didn’t have a problem with that obviously. |

Should the Hall of Fame reverse their decision and Allow Pete Rose to be inducted? I don't believe they should. He was one of the best baseball players in the history of the game.Pete Rose was caught gambling and found guilty. Let the punishment fit the crime. |

"Wasn't Hitler supposedly an artist?
I can't see looking beyond his past to have a gallery showing.
"
There was an exhibition of his paintings in Longleat about 22 years ago. We came across them in an uninformed manner and were quite moved by them. Then we had a closer look and saw who they were by; very hard to reconcile those paintings with the person we know him as |

I think he was rejected, and a 'success' level way below others mentioned, but art is subjective.
Could you imagine? Welcome to the Adolf Hitler Art Exhibition. Would be lots of triggered people out there. His art would sell for many millions I'm sure. |

Wish I'd seen this first before post. Oh wow, what an experience. In our current climate the outrage would be immense I'm sure if they tried an exhibition these days. |

Could you do the same for Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris et al? I never could. They were good now they are convicted of horrid crimes. |

There are some crimes which cloud and ruin a person's legacy, some perhaps less so.
Leicester Pigott and Ken Dodd were found guilty of tax evasion, Some people have built careers after being found guilty of violent crimes or returned after stints in prison (Robert Downey Jr anyone?)
As with many things, I think the context and conduct as well as the crime affects these things.

"OJ no can do.
Mike Tyson surprisingly yes although an odious little man.....with a huge punch and a shit tattoo. "
It's funny how some people in the public eye can ' get away ' with serious crimes. And others don't. Some can be not guilty of anything, and still have a career ruined. |

"Can anyone think of examples of famous women being accused ?"
Would you class Tonya Harding in that category, it’s more scandal but she was banned all the same? I’m actually suprised more women don’t spring to mind if I’m honest. |

"Can anyone think of examples of famous women being accused ? Katy Perry is getting accused of a fair bit over the last few days of inappropriate sexual stuff ."
She's an odd cookie indeed. Seems to be double standards at play as well. |
