"I would not say it is patronising, safety is good but it perpetuates victim blaming when the onus is put solely on women to prevent becoming victims. "

That’s a tricky one , I mean it makes perfect sense to me safety in numbers etc and why wouldn’t you want to stay safe ? But on the other hand people should be able to go on their own without be worried about being hassled/attacked , sad times I’m afraid and I can’t see it changing x |

Very good idea..... not just for women but men too.
You never know what awaits you around the corner. I always try and go out in a group or at very least as a pair. |

I've often seen or hear pervy comments aimed at women when they're out running. I think that it makes sense to plan routes and to be safe but it's also important to target and combat the negative behaviour at the root.
The belief that its OK to sexualise a person who is just going about their day is just plain wrong, irrespective of what they're wearing.

Changing behaviour and reducing the crap women face when exercising is going to take time. While it's happening, it makes sense to do what they can to feel safe |

Not a jogger but a part time cyclist. I don’t like groups, I like to dictate my own pace either on my bicycle or motorcycle. I use both to be alone with my thoughts and clear my head.
Anyone should be able to do their chosen activity without harassment or risk of being attacked. Unfortunately some places other people spoil that, those other people are very rarely female. |
