We're on hols so I've woken up this morning on a beautiful farm, overlooking stunning Scottish countryside.
I was lucky enough to grow up in a small seaside town, with sandy beaches. When I went to bed at night I could hear the sea.
I always feel so calmed by being in a beautiful landscape. My fantasy home would be on the beach, so I could hear the sea at night, and swim in it every morning.
What about you?

Pretty much the same as yours Mrs TMN, living on the coast in a quite place overlooking the sea with not alot around.
A hotter climate would be nice too but not essential as I do like the winter months aswell. |

Oh me too, love the changing of the seasons and the rhythm of life changing as they do. |

I spent a lot of time living by the sea.
I can no longer afford it
My ideal place now would be pretty much the same as the OP somewhere with seasons ( I no longer like hot climates) not too many houses around - not too isolated though - I don't want it to feel like a horror film .

Have ALWAYS loved the beach and could and have spent hours beachcombing. So I guess it would be the same. |

It’s just a fantasy, can I have a farm next to the sea? |

I have thought about this a lot. My place will have lots of glass, someone else will clean the windows.
Double aspect. Downstairs open plan kitchen in the middle of the room with family space either side. Opening to private path to a beach at the front, and small garden with views of hills at the back.
Upstairs a full length double aspect library with balcony at either end for drinking coffee and looking out to the hills and the rolling countryside or the sea depending on my moods and the weather. |

"Im sorry if you were taken by scottish farmers in the night but glad its nice to look at
Just by my husband. He's not a farmer. He is, however, outstanding in his field "
There’s a joke about hill-areas in here somewhere too. Mr. |

I live in a big old house on the edge of a wood next to a riverbank. To me, this is heaven. The nearest shop is 5 miles away.
I find the isolation focusses the mind. |

The sea at winter seems so much more rough so the crashing of the waves is harder and better to listen to.
Very therapeutic. |

I'm a lake and mountains kind of guy. I like the sea, but unless there are islands visible it's a bit featureless, and not so great when it's grey sky and grey sea. |

I’d love a little house or cottage in a village with a secret garden
I’d get a little whippet and go for lovely walks along the riverbank then down to the village pub to meet a friend x |

"I (Luke) would like to out in the countryside in a house with beautiful view. Hannah's always been a city girl but I think that idea is more appealing to her now than it was. "
I love being in the city too - but in fantasy world I can just enjoy being by the sea and don't have to do any real life |
