Oh well it’s happened to me many times but I don’t give up.. sometimes you turn up at their address and they don’t answer their phone, half way cancellations etc..

Ok I used to chat to people for quite a while until you really get a feel for them,if they're really interested in meeting you they'll continue to communicate. You'll then be more confident in them turning up,but if they still don't there's not a lot you can do about it.
I always found it a bonus if they did turn up whether whether it went anywhere or not,it can still be nice meeting someone,have a drink and then part ways. |

Being absolutely honest OP if you're not looking for sex, about 99% of the men here probably won't turn up, or even get as far as wanting to meet, as sex will be their prime motivation and not friendship.
Why not try a few organised group socials which are more relaxed and friendly affairs that don't necessarily have to be about sex  |
