Was sat here scrolling through Fab, listening to Smooth Radio on the telly, the rain starts . . . and the sound conks out.

"No signal" says the screen.

Why does it keep happening when rain clouds come?

" listening to Smooth Radio on the telly

It's the Smooth FM playlist that's the problem:

Travis

Garbage

Fleetwood Mac

"The heavy clouds block the signal"

I remember writing "Heavy snow today" in ma diary when I was about 10, when I read it back about 25 years later, I thought, Why, did I weigh it?

There’s probably a connection somewhere between the satellite dish or aerial and the TV, and water is getting in

Telly is on Freeview via an aerial on the chimney.

Rest of it is plugged into internet (so I can get music on You Tube and wotnot).

Water getting in somewhere sounds about right.

During the heavy snow last winter, I discovered snow was falling in the loft.

Meant to get a man round to look at it.

Never did.

(Plenty men round, but none to look at my aerial )

It’s the bit sky don’t tell you about particularly if you have trees around you. The become satellite opaque. I went cable because of it.

"The heavy clouds block the signal"
It should be ok with the heaviest of cloud, it's torrential rain and snow that blocks signals.

Need to get sat man round.

I have a problem with a few HD Freeview channels - apparently some of them are transmitted over lower powered mux equipment and are particularly vulnerable to your signal success when certain weather events occur. It's just started raining, so I turned it all off

Maybe the telly is inside, and Sara doesn't have a roof.
