"I have freelance on and off in London. I like the architecture and try to avoid the tube. I love it when you go off the beaten track and find a cracking little pub or shop. To be honest I have never felt threatened and most people in the locals pubs are friendly. Wouldnt mind exploring Hampstead Park, Kings Road and the Regents Canal. Ok 4 days a week" Hampstead Heath is lovely. They have a really cute little swimming lake and feels like 1950s with people sunbathing on the bank.

I find the same with London.

Both great places and probably more accessible and enjoyable than NYC. I am lucky to have lots of really great friends in all these cities so maybe that makes a place more lovable too. " And yet notices have gone up in Westminster warning people to stop defecating in the street....and there is not a place I go that has not had a fatal stabbing nearby...I am fast losing faith in London, and do not feel safe in it after dark anymore.

"Yes. It's where a lot of things happen. "If you're tired of London, you're tired of life"" No just tired of pollution, over crowding high cost of living, crime, to name but a few things.

"No. It's one of the worst places to be. Full of non English and dirty unsafe. List goes on. Trying, really trying not to... Me too. And yet notices have gone up in Westminster warning people to stop defecating in the street....and there is not a place I go that has not had a fatal stabbing nearby...I am fast losing faith in London, and do not feel safe in it after dark anymore. I have never seen any crime where I live. I have never felt intimidated or unsafe and I’m usually coming home at early hours on a regular basis. There is knife crime all around you nonetheless. There is knife crime in many cities, mainly gang related. London just happens to be a bigger place. Don’t really have gangs near where I live so I don’t really feel so bothered. There are areas like many cities that I wouldn’t be walking in after dark. I was driving a friend back up to Kings Cross and went 'off piste' to avoid a traffic jam caused by a fatal stabbing in broad daylight in SE London on a sunday lunchtime! I dance all over London and there have been fatalities everywhere. I travel all over the world and to some very dodgy places and never seen anything like that. Guess I’ve been lucky In my 48 years. All you would see around my area is yummy mummy’s in Birkenstock’s and hummus eating hipsters. There was a double stabbing on 19th July in your immediate area! I didn’t even hear about that. Just looked it up and not familiar with that area as it’s nowhere near where I live. I don’t even go anywhere past the station. I live the opposite way. Lol, well that's nearer than I would be comfortable with, and as I say, I dance all over London and have been horrified to hear, week after week, that more and more familiar locations are associated with knife crime/fatalities. It was in someone’s home and about 2 miles from me. It wasn’t on the streets and lots of violence happens in homes all over. Stop scare mongering. " I think you are looking at the wrong thing - two men were stabbed in broad daylight and a section 60 authorizing stop and search powers over the whole area was put in place overnight 'due to the serious nature of the incident'. I think it's more you burying your head in the sand than me scaremongering to be honest, the whole of greater London has a serious problem with knife crime.
