Apart from the obvious: reporting to admin and blocking them. What else can you do to abusive talking members? |

Just remember your better than that and fighting fire with fire will get you burned so it’s usually best not to bite back x |

I just delete messages without reading then they soon back off if they are not getting a reaction move on to some other poor sod. |

How proactive or prompt are admin on these issues?
It seems many men become abusive when you politely decline their offer.... ?? |

That's all you can do. Other than use your filters to the hilt, to stop anyone messaging and you do your own searching

I tend to report multiple times and it usually gets sorted within 24 hours.
And yes, that tends to be where the abusive messages stem from. But if you block them, they won’t send anymore |

And the next time some guy complains, how it's rude when a woman doesn't reply to their message !
Sorry this has happened, hopefully it hasn't put you off this site. It happens occasionally the admin generally pretty quick at dealing with it. |

I’m starting to come round and practice the art of just letting go of anything which doesn’t serve you. Other than block/report I can’t think of anything else which would help you.
May make you feel good to have a go back, but that is short term....I guess realistically you could have a go back and then block/report. Though then does the bully not cry about ‘what she said’ when admin do their thing? I don’t really know the process. |

Ye that's usually when it happens. Just take no notice and block and report if you want. I normally don't bother reporting unless they have been particularly abusive or threatening . I just am glad I didn't meet them. I find the longer I've been on here the less notice I take of them. At the end of the day they are random strangers. |

If you block them ... they can’t contact you can they ? Unless they make a new profile |

Yes. I don't know how proactive admin are, because I never hear from them again after they go on my block list, tbh. |

I just remember not to get too upset about anything I can block/delete with a touch of a button. |

And they feed on your reaction to their abuse. Don't feed their need for a reaction.
Delete, report, block, forget. |

Sorry to hear your problems sadly some are rude and the advice given is with good foundation. Just delete dont reply is normal here but quite at odds with outside fab. I'm new and it's taking time to adjust however I maintain my standard and remain polite. Good luck and enjoy fab |

I often get abuse when i say i dont want to meet a guy. Nowadays i just ignore and block them. I used to report them but nothing seemed to be done about them, they still had active profiles and some still sent abusive messages. Blocking is good. |

That’s why I report multiple times until I KNOW something has been done.
A few profiles have been suspended, removed from fab etc |

Admin are as prompt as they can be but demands on them vary. As much as it should not influence your experience any further, if I found something continued, I'd consider a short break or adjust my usage for a while |

I had a problem with someone earlier in the year, admin sorted it out after about 12 hours or so if I remember correctly but the member is still here and on my block list |

Why would you want to do anything but report them and block so that they can no longer interact with you? |

It’s not just men, I was getting the height of abuse this morning from a young girl and somehow she still managed to send more messages even after I’d blocked and reported her. No idea how she did that. |

Exactly no matter how much you want to don't bite back just delete and block they want to know they have gotten a reaction. |

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
--
Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******

PS Every report is looked at, there is no need to report multiple times, you are just adding more work to Admin. |
