"Muhammad Ali"

Yep. Have to go with Ali. As much for his refusal to be drafted as for his boxing.

Nigel 'The Dark Destroyer' Benn, the Benn vs McClellan fight in I think 1995 was the most punishing fight I ever saw. Unfortunately left McClellan brain damaged .

Camberley occasionally doncaster

It was my neighbours boxer. They called him Jason. No idea why, it was a shit name for a dog. Lovely though. I was upset when they had to have him put down

I sort of fell out of love with the sport after that. I remember the build up, McClellan was no fly by night boxer he was just as mean and dangerous. From my memory Nigel was struggling in the earlier rounds.

I boxed in the Army not much, but after seeing and going through some of the training regimes I have the utmost respect for anyone who enters the ring

He sort of started the 'trash talk' we see today, yes he was very articulate and extremely funny, but also the architect of what I don't like in boxing.

Nigel Benn was knocked out of the ring in the first round and struggled. He was lucky that the fight wasn't stopped.

I feel sorry for McClellan. He was an awesome fighter.
