Is there any films that you’ve watched maybe once or a handful of times that you can’t watch again?
If so, why?
Mine is Titanic. It makes me too sad. Even listening to the song makes me sad.
C hates the film so is glad I no longer want to watch it |

Irreversible due to a very notorious scene.
Boy in the striped pyjamas, definitely not I have children that age I would get too upset. In fact any child being hurt as I recently stopped watching Lars Von Trier film The House that Jack built due to a scene in that film with kids. |

Fucking Dumbo!!!
We took the kids at work to see the new version and fuck. That film just DOESNT get happy does it?! Just when you think things can’t get worse, they do. Fuck that film. I cried the whole way through.
(I never watched it when I was wee as my mum’s mum died when she was 10. I was well aware of what the film was about, but watching it was bullshit) |

Gaspar Noë's 'Irreversible'. Mostly because of 'that' scene but also because once you know the plot gimmick it holds way less interest.
The 1990s remake of 'Bad Lieutenant' with Harvey Keitel.
And any Rom-Com (although the chances of me watching a Rom-Com even once is slim to none... |

Titanic (overrated drawn-out shite)
Anything with Vin Diesel in it (he's fucking tragically bad)
White Girls (made me want to gouge my own eyes out)
Anything with Will Smith in it (he's a cunt)
Cowboys vs Aliens (There are no words to describe how crap this flick is) |

"PS I love you
Broke my heart watching that and can’t put myself through it again
Oh I sobbed and sobbed but thought it was fucking fantastic
P"
I think I started crying literally 15 mins in and was a gibbering wreck by the end
Even the thought of it makes my eyes fill up
Would love to watch again but when I don’t have to look such a mess the next day with puffy eyes haha |

Bone tomahawk, was a trauma for me.
Usually can sit through horror films but gave up on that one.
Saving private Ryan,I'll watch it but always go and make a brew or wee break while that slow stabbing scene is on.

Yessss Eden Lake.. I got so angry with that film.
At the time I was going through something similar where a few teens were targeting my home for mischief for about 6 months and my ex and I were reacting to them all.
The police were called eventually and advice was "don't react, they'll go somewhere else." |

But I have no real opinion on it
Not sure about that the woman in it has amazing boobs she also in Baywatch.
I'm opening myself up to shock reactions ... but I can't attend nearly 2 hours staring at boobs "

Event Horizon - watched it in the day time and it scared me so much, I had to move my date forward a day so I wouldn’t be on my own that night.
Florida project - it was so boring my fitness tracker said I was asleep for two hours. Wish I had slept through it.

Craggy Island |
Kes 1969
Ken Loach's acclaimed British drama focuses on Billy Casper (David Bradley), a tormented working-class boy who is subjected to abuse both at school and at home. The son of a single mother (Lynne Perrie), Billy's existence is mostly bleak until he takes up an interest in falconry and begins training a kestrel that he finds on a nearby farm. While Billy forms a close bond with the falcon, his hardscrabble life and harsh environment prove to be a challenge to the boy and his bird. |

The Mist. Just an awful gut punch of an ending. For a pretty standard horror movie that ending really is a hard watch.
Agree with a couple of others though - pixar seem to be on a mission to make parents weep in front of their kids. The first 15 minutes of Up, the last 15 minutes of Coco and don't even get me started on Bing Bong elephant in Inside Out....
Where's the "horrible snottery crying" emoji when you need it??

Sex lives of the potato men
I got put off all horror at an early age thanks to Nightmare on Elm Street
ET - it's downright scary freaky (to be fair - best alien creation than box standard 'paul' types)

The girl next door.
Based on the book of the same name. Not the comedic one of the high school guy dating an ex porn star.
From what I can remember it is not as graphic as some of the more disturbing movies out there but it is definitely disturbing on all levels. |

There's a hell of a lot of films I wouldn't watch again and a lot I've walked out of. It's hard to pick, I've walked out of "going in style" Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Atkin, 40 mins was far to long to give it a chance, pure drivel. The batman with Arnie as Mr freeze and Danny devitto as the Joker, pure shinola. I would really need to add an appendix for many others. |

"Blair witch.

"Funny Games", dir. Michael Haneke. One of the very very few films I've walked out of, and I've seen thousands of movies good, bad and indifferent. This one takes psychological disturbance to a whole new level, with the lead sadist breaking the fourth wall - pausing the film action, turning to the audience and telling you that it's your fault that the horrible stuff is happening to the family, you are making it happen by watching the movie!
I saw (about half of) the 1997 original Norwegian version, but I'm told that the 2007 usa remake is exactly as disturbing - same director, identical script, just american actors instead of european. |

I hated that I was terrified and it felt like it was for nothing. I still remember staying up late to watch when I had to work the next day and it exaggerated my hate for it . Lol
I want to like horror, but I’m a big baby. I do laugh at a lot of it though and do watch a bit.
Older horror stuff makes me laugh a lot. |

I got lost once as a child, as with most scary stuff if you relate to what is happening, then your own anxiety will increase. So I sort of emphasised with the characters growing frustrations of their situation and stupidity.
Glad it had an effect although prefer it wouldn’t be a negative one |

Absolutely and totally agree, in fact the bit with the gun sorry I’m not being lectured by a film director. Good shout if forgotten that one |
