This maybe the wrong site to ask however here goes.
I made a beef and vegetable pie a couple of weeks ago, added the pasty lid and then froze it, I've never frozen them before. Now I want to eat it do I have to defrost, common sense says yes but obviously you can cook some pies from frozen.

I've never had a problem doing either. Just increase the cooking time If you're going from frozen. Make sure the filling is piping hot and cooked thoroughly. |

"Thanks for replies although not sure on the temp now, I generally cook most things on around 180 so will go with that. Possible issue with burning the puff pastry before pie is hot "
Like Minnie said, just lower the heat a touch and cook for longer than you would from chilled |
