What numbers do you like?
I (Luke) like 12 and 16. I dislike 14 because it's too in the middle.
When I change volume on my radio I always go for even numbers because odd ones annoy me.
Do you have any number quirks? |

When in the gym on the running machines I have to finish on a round number eg the next hundred, it drives me mad, just one of those personal little victories if I hit it right |

13 is my lucky number its been a prominent number in my life.
Aside that i keep things even, volume on tv/car ect, weights at the gym i always go up in evens i think even numbers are more satisfying.

"2 4 8 and 16. I love even numbers but love that sequence, 6 10 12 and 14 barely register and don't get me started on prime numbers!"
Couldn't agree more! |

The small print on tv ads that say 79% of 159 people surveyed or whatever, pretty much always adds up to not a whole number and it really annoys the crap outa me

Things are allegedly more elegant in odd numbers, like food items on a plate, rule of thirds in photography (placing the subject in the first or last third as opposed to the middle) makes it more appealing. Fibonacci numbers found everywhere in the natural world, most of them odd. |

I always have to put the dominoes back in the box in number order, 6-6, 6-5, 6-4 etc. Even though the first thing that will happen next time the box is opened they'll be thrown all across the table and jumbled. So I don't know to what end I do this? But I just can't stand the thought of them going back in the box all jumbled. I just can't let it happen, makes me feel really uncomfortable thinking about it. |

See now, I was CL 14 (my house number when I was at Boarding School(, and I played on the wing for the School Rugby Team, so I had the 14 shirt, so it's kinda one of my favourite numbers
I always make sure that ma TV is on an even number volume wise |

Wow that would keep me busy. I don't play but don't some of the letters have little numbers on them too? I'd have to make a system.
In all seriousness I've never played. My dyslexia makes spelling a nightmare. I have a huge vocabulary but not a clue how to spell half of the words I know. So if someone gets the Scrabble out I make my excuses and hide. Seriously I'd be a disaster and people would just think I'm stupid. I would be embarrassing. |

Prime numbers. They are weird things, exist in all numbering sysyems, can't be predicted only found, and are the basis of some interesting maths, for instance the algorithms that governments use to encode communications. The largest known prime is 2 to the power 282,589,933 minus 1 and can be written as a number about 24 million digits long. |

The most interesting prime is 2. It’s the smallest and only even one. |

And any positive integer greater than 1 pcan be expressed as a product of prime factors. Pretty cool too |

Interestingly, research has shown, that when volume of sound is on an odd number, it makes people feel uncomfortable....weird. |

Graham's number is the largest number that has a physical meaning, and is so large that if every digit of the number was written in the space occupied by an atom, the universe would not be large enough to contain it. The weird thing is that it is computable, and the last 12 digits are 262464195387 |
