Living a mile from The Etihad, it means, for me, that I need to keep an eye on who's playing and when and try to avoid either going out or being anywhere near home when there's a match
Traffic is horrendous
The tram line I'm on passes both The Etihad and Old Trafford, so I don't take the tram on match days either |

The needle on my give-a-fuck-ometer doesn't even twitch, I only watch it when the world cup is on. I don't mind playing it with friends occasionally but no interest in watching it or any other televised sport! |

Mixed emotions around the coming season.
Our main competitors all strengthening their squads while we can't.
Sold our best player.
Can't buy any new players for 2 seasons.
An ageing squad, but with some stunning younger players.
Still no out and out goal scoring beast up front. Our Achilles heel and has been for some time.
An untried PL manager, but one who the supporters adore and who holds near God like status.
I'm hoping the lack of transfers will mean the younger players get a good chance now.
I fear their lack of experience will be a problem.
Can't see us winning any silver this year or finishing in the top 4.
On the flipside our pre season friendlies have been promising.
New boy Pulisic got a couple, the youngsters got a good run out, we beat Barca and Pedro scored a worldy.
Lots of Chelsea experience in the backroom staff.
Frank and Jody Morris have both worked with a lot of our younger players at Derby.
I predict an up and a downer of a season.

Wigan (away).
Usual Cardiff, buying people I've not heard about or little about.
Usual Warnock, will turn some into diamonds some will flop.
Hope to watch today's game on TV, hope Warnock leaves at the end of the season and not Christmas.
Promotion is the plan! |

"Good to see the villa giving ut a go this year lookslike they have a plan"
Hope it don't back fire if they get relegated. Promotion and staying up can be such a gamble.
Didn't work for Fulham but they seem to be able to afford it, I think Villa will too if it goes wrong. |

Can't wait for the season to start, Leicester have an exciting and talented young squad, under a top quality prem manager.
Not fussed about losing Harry, we have ready made replacements, with the potential still to buy.
Will be very disappointed if we're not putting in a legitimate challenge for a top 6 place |

£80 Mill I'd drive him there myself for that. Not that he's a bad player, he isn't, it's just a lot of money. |

So you haven’t bought anyone this summer or will this season.
You’ve a new manager who adores the club and knows how you like to play and what it means to the fans
Bringing some of the youth through is not a bad thing. They are hungry, looking to prove a point and well the opposition know nothing about them, could be a glorious surprise amongst them
You still have some cracking players, some just need a kick up the back side to leave their egos behind. Maybe FL can make them a team that works for each other again
Don’t let any of that have you starting the season on a downer. You never know what could happen
We didn’t win anything but doesn’t stop you challenging.
Enjoy the season, well except when you play us |

Agree, it's a lot of money, but shows how desperate Utd were.
That said, I recall all the same things being said about Liverpool signing VVD, and how much would he be worth now? Not to mention that without him, they probably wouldn't have won the CL last year, and you can't put a price on that. |

Just trying be realistic and not get my hopes up.
I'd love it if everything worked out for Frank. Given time the current situation could benefit us long term, an opportunity to actually use the young players we have instead of lending them out to other clubs and spending fortunes on imports.
My fingers are crossed. Tightly.
You've got an amazing stadium now. Glad you got it open on time. Oh, hold on.....
I hope Poch is given what he needs to take the next step. I thought his interview comments were quite telling the other night.
Looking forward to rocking up to your place and taking a few points off you. (Like we usually do) |

I meant what's it worth in terms of prize money, increased game & advertising/sponsorship revenue, prestige, kudos, the ability to retain and recruit additional top players, all that sort of stuff. |

Today is our first ever match in non league football, we are away to Eastleigh.
It’s a day that a few weeks ago we had feared wouldn’t come. We had been granted up extension after extension on hmrc winding up petition by the high court, the club was up for sale with no signs of it being sold, the staff had not been payed for 2 months and we were banned from signing any players.
In the space of a week the club was sold to the owners of Football Radar, the tax bill settled, the staff paid, transfer embargo lifted and players signed (I think 7 in total, 5 of which were signed in one day!)
Thankfully, the worlds oldest professional football club is still in existence and I’ll be cheering them on, no matter who they play or which league they play in |

Have the other side turned up? doesnt look like it it's 7 now "
I remember years ago someone saying the Pompey squad was so small that in their first ptactics game of the season they set up 11 bins around the pitch to practice dribbling, passing etc.
At half time the bins were 12 - 0 up...... |

Cockney Red this time last season Mourinho had just about pissed off all the players and the board with his comments. Now with Ole there is more of a feel good factor which fills me with confidence we can finish top 4. |
