What have you learnt

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I am usually the one in control and can be cold hearted unless you actually know me well, then the ice maiden drops and you see the gem I can be (so I'm told way too much)

recently I met someone, turned my life upside down in a short while it was fantastic it kind of went sour, due to miscommunication both sides we split (No regrets) and yes i did like him a lot!

I had my sulk, I had a few weeks out of here not meeting and work was a tad tense and with the new job and the likes, I didn't know what I wanted..

BUT

It taught me a few things,

let the past go and enjoy it

Men/women are not the same as the past experiences, don't judge them on the other experiences

No-one is out to actually get you (its your insecurities nothing else)

I learnt that sometimes I pressure myself far far too much and i should give myself a break and kick back

So the weekend i'm going celebrating the new role and i may hit chams later and when i finish tomorrow at 13:15pm i'm off till Tuesday Morning

so what have you learnt lately?

Not to lend certain people money, when you know that you have a fart in a Jacuzzi's chance of getting it back

For me I've learnt life is too short to be in a unhappy situation

I've also learnt that I'm better to communicate my wants rather than hope the other person knows

Similar to yourself really and I think about it often. Nothing is permanent. When moved on, you gotta move on to. x

That feelings happen even if you deny them. They just swell inside you and come out kicking and screaming.

Also that Milquetoast means bland and uninteresting.

Ive learnt that second is really third or fourth long story but least i know

That others see me differently to how i see muself and i should just say yes and enjoy myself ....instead of analysing so much

That when i think im being dull as dish water..some people find me funny and i make them laugh( in a good way)

Happiness should be grasped and held on to, because when things inevitably get tough those memories will help you cope. Don't worry about tomorrow if you're happy today, and kiss that person you love every time like it's the last time.

P.S don't forget that person in the mirror isn't all that bad either

My work has been quite stressful recently, new systems etc after a buy out. I've learnt that I can be adaptable, learn new things and train others to.

Don't trust Facebook it's full of con artists..

I'm £100 pound down because I'm such a nice brother.

Sister moving house got scammed today by a van man on Facebook she lost her money so I decided to pay for a legit van man to do it for her.

Was up from half 6 this morning helping her pack boxes and stuff ... And the man with the van never came

That life is a bit like a game of cards. You have no control over the hand you’re dealt, but it’s down to you how you play it.

I have learned just to follow where things go.. Don't try to rush it or over think it. Just let it be, and enjoy every moment.
