Been several times and had experiences with Ladyboys, the common trope amongst expats is, if she appears very feminine and beautifully made up....she's a ladyboy. In Bangkok your best bet is Nana Plaza on the second floor several ladyboy bars, but you will pay a bar fine. Before you go download an app called 'Line' there are plenty on there and no bar fine.... |

Can’t tell you about the experience, and how you can tell them depends on where you are.
On the streets of the Bangkok red light district, they make themselves very obvious by “overdressing”. They wear fashionable evening dresses, high heels and makeup, where the LBFMs will be in tee-shirts, shorts and flip-flops.
In the go-go bars, they are very “aggressive” – “in your face”. When you’ve sat down, they will form a line in front of you, clapping and making “blowjob” and “me-and you” gestures. When you sit down in a girl go-go bar, you’ll usually be ignored, unless there are very few other customers, when a girl may come and sit beside you for a chat and things.
There is a katoey massage parlour between Sukhumvit sois 5 and 7. There are two gorgeous katoeys sat at the door, but the men inside may be a lot less feminine and attractive.
Straps go-go bar in Nana Plaza is unique, because the girls are post-op transsexuals. They all act like katoeys, clapping and gesturing, which is confusing, because they’re all girls now.
I’ve sent you a copy of a guide I have written, with three maps.
