Actually you haven't, probably a herring full is what you've seen. |

A telescope that can view objects smaller than 25 metres across on the moon. Meaning that no telescope can see anything left by any of the lunar missions. |

Light is not a wave or a particle, yet it can be a wave or a particle
Despite what you are taught in school, the moon does not circle around the Earth. It would actually go against the rules of physics to do so |

My parents convinced me that there was such a thing as haggis, asin it was a tiny ball of fluff that was similar to a mole, infact they took me haggis hunting at night on campsites when I was young, they pointed to mole hills and told me they were haggis hills, they even told me they were very cute and shy but loved childrens toys and one day my dolly went missing and they told me the haggis had taken it to calm down their babies, it was returned several days later all covered in soil
They made such a convincing story to me as a young child that I never second guessed it as a young adult, until one of my teachers at high school laughed at me. True story.
Ive had several glasses of wine and cant remember if this relates tk the thread |

"Artificial intelligence that is actually intelligent does not exist...."
Absolutely correct. It only mimics thinking patterns, some very close but not by human standards more like an Ant.
Starting with a knowledge base and building relationships between information using neural networks allows them to expand and grow, a basic form of learning by making connections between things. However this doesn't actually equal a computer that can truly "think" for itself and thus not technically intelligent anymore than Google is. Another example of this being applied is in an advanced piece of chess software, it can appear to be a real person thinking but it actually isn't. |

Not quite the same but when I was a kid we went around Scotland in a motorhome. I heard of haggis but no idea what it was. My parents thought it would be hilarious to convince me it was the testicles of horses.

Exactly...
To put it another way intelligence implies consciousness. As a computer is not and never will be conscious. As there is no such thing as artificial consciousness there no such thing as artificial intelligence..... |

I know I've seen that and did seem a bit freaky, even scary at the idea of it lol
But the way it works is still the same, the basic functioning of a computer is boolean values (yes/no, true/false, on/off). Algorithms can be extremely complex but always boils down to this at its most fundamental level and a LOT can be done with this basic function, it is basically logical ordering.
These two were able to determine that they were not talking to a real human based on factors like speed, word usage, etc. They are programmed to speak the most efficient way possible. Not talking to a human meant certain ways of talking could be removed to make it more efficient because both understood it. Kind of similar to how Asian people like Chinese speak a slightly different form of English.
They then simply kept saying to each other "let's remove this, that's remove that, this is a shorter way to say/spell this".
Knowing they were both computers meant they didn't have to wait for humans to think and process what was being said, they could just throw out the changes to each other rapidly and it basically gets stored like in a database.
English is one of the most complex languages in the world, most languages are actually a lot more basic. These computers very rapidly break down the English further and further, far too fast for humans to follow in the same way a computer can do calculations faster than a human but doesn't make them intelligent. As they are being broken down they also substitute parts of the language for simpler forms. A bit like people using text speech? And that's just one step, imagine hundreds of steps made rapidly... Thus it appears to be a whole new language |

No the moon does not actually orbit around the Earth, to do so the moon would need to come to a complete stop and reverse direction, which is physically impossible.
It is all relative. It looks like the moon orbits the Earth to someone on the Earth looking up at the moon, in a similar way that it looks like the sun orbits the Earth when you look up in the sky. If you looked at the Earth, moon and sun from outside our solar system this isn't what actually happens

“If I can’t see it, does it exist?”
‘Solipsism (/'s?l?ps?z?m/ (About this soundlisten); from Latin solus, meaning 'alone', and ipse, meaning 'self')[1] is the philosophical idea that only one's mind is sure to exist. As an epistemological position, solipsism holds that knowledge of anything outside one's own mind is unsure; the external world and other minds cannot be known and might not exist outside the mind. As a metaphysical position, solipsism goes further to the conclusion that the world and other minds do not exist. This extreme position is claimed to be irrefutable, as the solipsist believes themselves to be the only true authority, all others being creations of their own mind.’

It's hard to explain, which is why texts for schools etc are left to just say the moon orbits the earth and both orbit the sun because it's almost correct and much easier to visualise.
In a nutshell the moon orbits the sun in a zigzag motion influenced by the gravitational force of the Earth |

A fish is not an animal! It's a vegetable or a mineral apparently. And we need to throw out our Oxford English dictionary
Biologically speaking there is no animal called a "fish" and how on earth if it did exist could it be a vegetable or a mineral, were did you get your OED from??? "
What about a silverfish? Do they exist? |

"I find myself attracted to you right now great explanations
.
Without even knowing which one of us actually wrote this either, let alone what I look like
Well now, I do believe somebody may be a sapio?
I think you enjoy talking almost as much as sexual meets at times and find 99% of people on fab a turn off, cringe worthy even. You don't like to do things how others think they should be, but your own way and part of you likes the idea that others may follow you.
Maybe I am wrong, buts that's the first impression I get from you within just a few words you spoke "
It was meant as a compliment only it doesn't matter who wrote it. I am attracted to warm clever people it wasn't meant to be taken that seriously but no worries |

"There no such thing as a tree. "
No such genus I think you mean ie it's not an official scientific category or sub
However a thing they most certainly are , the word conveys a meaning understood and used practicality by millions , thus it's a thing of broad definition x |

"Chop suey in China
(It's an American dish originally ). !"
That's true, same as tandoori chicken in this country, along with virtually every other apparently authentic Indian dish! |
