In a town Fab forgot

I'm sure a fellow Fabber will have a bright idea or two.....

I'm looking for a piece of video editing software.

GOT to be really simple to use because I'm less tekkie than a duck.

I need to be able to edit clips recorded on camcorder, phone and camera, into shorter clips.

Also to "knit" several clips together and add written credits.

Looking for something that will allow me to produce clips no more than 5 minutes long and no more than 3Gb.

Must be PC based, Windows 10 compatible.

Did I say it's GOT to be simple to use?

Oh yes, it's GOT to be simple to use.

Whatcha got?

"VLC might work for very simple stuff."

Isn't VLC a player, not an editor?

Central

I used Windows Movie Maker - free, which was fairly easy to learn and use. Then added to YouTube, where you can host, do small bit with them etc. Can still keep them private there but share with others

Got it, doesn't seem to have a video editing function.

Great for making Christmas cards and posters though.

Movie maker 10 is free and pretty simple to use. There's some good tutorials on YouTube if you get stuck

"Pinnacle pm if you want "

I used to use a version of Pinnacle a dogs age ago, it was really simple to use.

I bought the current version a while back.

It's way too complicated to use as a rank amateur. It seems geared up to really professional film quality production now.

People who do it for a living, not once in a while.

Makes it virtually impossible to use by someone of cretin like ability. (Me)

Thanks for the suggestion though, appreciated.

*goes back to the PC to see what's on it.

Highly unlikely. I've never seen anyone training with Japanese swords on there.

Having said that I've seen a few swords being swallowed....
