I get wound up at all the people who go out at lunch to post office etc when they could go out anytime in the day, meaning anyone who only has lunch break to get something done ends up queuing forever.

"Still seem to queue but airside instead.."

Why be bothered? Everyone is in the same boat!

Trying to get on a bus in Edinburgh in festival time is just carnage.

Hoardes of foreigners with no queuing etiquette or understanding that you have to wait at the bus stop, the bus behind will draw up once the current one moves.

...and everybody in that boat is similarly inpatient.. What's the point in having a quick beer or coffee if the time spent queuing is longer than the time spent consuming the beverage..

Don't get me started on queuing etiquette. Ski Lifts in Europe (but not USA) come to mind.

Not sure why be bothered about it though? Waste of emotion ... just crack a joke and talk to people? Much more fun! It happens and nothing you can do about it ... go to a different café perhaps?

York

Wetherspoons are terrible, or the one in York is anyway, I queued half an hour the other week whilst the bar staff kept serving people either side of me including those who came up after me! It was my first pub and drink that night so it's not like I was too d*unk to serve or anything

Why do women stand in a queue for ages, then get to be served, then start rummaging around in their bag for their purse

Peterborough

My most embarrassing queuing experience was at Casablanca airport. There was a massive queue to get into the building. I was with my Dutch boss. The Dutch appear to have no concept of queuing, so to the tutting of the Moroccans and other foreign nationals who had been patiently waiting in line, he (and I sadly) dived in about ten people back from the door. I felt ashamed.

Chelmsford

People in supermarkets who start looking for their purse as if paying is a surprise to them...

And people at cashpoints taking so long you would think they are playing a bandit.

And people who decide that they have forgotten an item and leave their shopping on the conveyor belt as they disappear to find a box of dairylea
