I’m putting this out to a bunch of strangers because I want to say it but don’t want to worry friends and family.
I’ve found a lump in my left breast. I’m scared. I know it’s more likely nothing but I’m still scared. Hoping to get to the drs tomorrow morning |

Always good to get these things checked out. I did when I found one and mine too was down to hormones.
Try not to worry about.
Good on you for checking yourself too.

Doctors are pretty good at super fast referrals now. Many send you to a clinic to which you stay until you have an answer the same day. Have a blood test, if no warning signs in that blood, off you go home. No bad news. If the blood test shows a possibility, off you go for another test. If that comes clear, off you go home. If some concerns, another test....and so on....until you have a diagnosis or all clear |

It’s good to know the process, I didn’t realise it was so quick. |

Hannah is a breast cancer survivor. Most people pull through these days. Most lumps are benign and the majority of women are cured. Best wishes from us. Please let us know what the results are. |

"Hugs from a fellow flatlander. Almost close enough to hold it for real.
I've been there, it was all fine in my case. I hope yours is nothing to worry about either - most aren't if that helps x"
Thank you almost being right there in person!
I really hope it’s nothing, but your mind goes in overdrive doesn’t it? x |

Thank you. Unfortunately I don’t have a good family history of it, however they were all when treatment wasn’t so advanced.
I’ll let you all know x |

You're doing the right thing. Deep breaths. Try to focus on the things you need to do. The fear is reasonable, and I hear you, but try to go through the process first before you give it as much airtime as you want to. |

Best of luck, I know it’s scary but the clinics are very good and great at putting your mind at rest whatever the treatment required. Most lumps are benign. X |

My advice is get it looked at sooner rather than later, the NHS is very very good, I can vouch for that, I have first hand experience having lost my wife to cancer, contributed from a lump in the breast she ignored for too long thru fear of the unknown...... like you say it’s probably nothing, but better to be safe than sorry x |

It is in Stoke and Cheshire. Once you ring the GP and tell reception you found a lump, it is usually all systems go. |

A few years back I found a lump in the breast because it was feeling uncomfortable and almost hurting when bra touched the area. Panicked and run to the doctors. Turned out to be just a big spot coming out from deeper tissue. Doc gave some antibiotics and that was it.
A year or so later found another lump in another breast. Not sensitive, just a lump. Again had it checked by doctors and they said it was only a "fat lump" that you can get anywhere on the body.
Try not to worry about it too much and fingers crossed it's nothing serious. |

Worrying wont change the outcome. All it will do is make things worse.
Positive thinking is much healthier for the mind and body.
Sending supportive, positive thoughts your way.
Make sure you see the doctor tomorrow.
Good luck |

Good luck!
I'm a breast cancer survivor and it's good to know people are getting checked!
Most lumps are nothing to worry about, but if it is you've given yourself the best chance possible by going to get checked out!

I don't have much to give or add, other than big squishy hugs and a shoulder, should you ever need it.
If you ever need any medical jargon explained, please let me know |

I had a lump about 18 months ago , I was seen at the hospital for a mammogram and saw the consultant all within two weeks, luckily it was a cyst! Thinking of you x |

"I’ve been to my gp, she felt the lump and referral made to the breast clinic "
Well done you!
That initial going to get checked out is one of the most difficult things to do.
Try not to worry, you'll know soon enough and chances are it'll be nowt |

So pleased to hear this. You are giving yourself the best chance if it is anything sinister and peace of mind if it is not. |

Try not to worry a gp can't tell you anything hence the referral.
You'll probably have a mammogram, they are uncomfortable rather than painful imo.
The xrays will be looked at ny a consultant and they may have a feeling. They go over family history too.
I have found many lumps over the years now, turns out I have fatty breasts and it's nothing to worry about.
All the best op x |

Can't only agree with everyone in the post.
Also close enough to hold in person and I'm hoping it's nothing serious.
Also a survivor of the male kind. My diagnosis and treatment was rapid and I've now got a fakee where the real one was.
Sending all my positive thoughts and energy to you. |

Easier said than done but don't panic.
It's very scary but you are dealing with it by getting medical help.
Please try to reach out to friends and or family.
We are all here to support you but you need a physical hand to hold. |

We often find lumps in and around our bodies that turn out to be nothing. Do not worry, worrying is also apart of stress which can still release those chemicals changes in your body |

If you are on the pill it could be that. I know someone who has it as a side effect, so could be nothing more than that |
