My nan’s spare room.

We’ll pull up a chair

When drinking tea the simple rich tea and digestive biscuits are long standing favourites for a damn good reason.

In the chocolate biscuit sphere, I’ve got to go for the orange club biscuit, the mint viscount and despite my hands obviously getting much bigger the Jammy wagon wheel.

JESUS £6.41 for ONE biscuit! No. I say .... NOOOOOOO !

Reply privately, Reply in forum +quote or View forums list

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

Here’s a tasty treat, get some of those jive biscuits from Aldi, the fake twix things. Bite each end off a finger, then use it as a straw to suck your tea through the finger, the hot tea melts the caramel and then you put the whole lot in your mouth and enjoy. Doesn’t work with proper twix as I think the biscuit is too dense so the tea can’t pass through it. Absolutely lovely

Gotta agree with the first para, plainish ones for dunkin' all the way, but got to add Shorties. For something a bit more exotic Custard Creams will do me, and for chocolate chunky sort then Maryland the original.

Tim tams. Bite off each end and use as a straw.

Toffee pops are gorgeous too.

Bought some hob nobs when in the UK as so expensive here.

Does anyone remember the Sports biscuits ?

Not seen them in at least 25yrs until today. Not very nice tasting but used to like to work out the sports the figures were playing
