Are the benefits optional? Does it always have to be sex?

I have one and we've agreed the Friends part of the FWB comes first. Its not all about sex and there is not expectations that when we see each other we have to do anything at all.
We have great communication and are genuinely growing a friendship. |

The benefits don't always have to be sex based. My friend pushed me to apply for accreditation, he listens and sends me V photos when I need cheering up and tells me to not be a fanny. Being serious we do lots together that isn't sex based. And I like having an easy friendship with him. He also gives amazing shoulder massages. |

I reckon I've been incredibly lucky when it comes to people I've met, the relationships we've created.
Sex is great, but sharing it with someone who knows you, understands you, has seen you at your worst, supports & encourages you, lifts you up when you're down, laughs with you when you're happy

I think it more than just sex if you are truly friends you help each other help and support each other in good times and bad.
My FwB is helping me out with child care at this moment in time what with it being school holidays n all. If she need something fixed or transport somewhere I help her. We also do nights out cinema or drinks in town as any friends would.
If it was just sex she would not be a Friend with benefits she would be a Fuck buddy shag and forget about it until next time. |

I have a friend that I have had little adventures with, theatre trips, comedy clubs, meals etc.
And another where we have walked and wild camped together as well as visited a sculpture park.

This thread has made me smile and if I'm honeys feel a bit sad all in one. There seem to e so many people on here who've found exactly the type of arrangement I've been to find. A couple of times I've thought I have but it's never worked out.
Anyway! For me... My benefits would be pizza, gin and Netflix. Lazy Sunday morning sex then heading out for dinner. And overnight trips to different places to try a few new clubs, including ones outside of the UK. |
